FanDuel Joins Forces with Delaware North to Grow West Virginia Operations

FanDuel has taken a significant step to strengthen its foothold in West Virginia through a new market access agreement with Delaware North.

This partnership allows FanDuel to expand its iGaming and online sports betting services in the state via Delaware North’s Mardi Gras Casino & Resort. Building on its existing operation at the Greenbrier Resort in White Sulphur Springs, the collaboration aims to enhance the company’s offerings and reach more customers in the region.

Since launching in West Virginia in August 2019, FanDuel has been a key player in the state’s sports betting landscape. The new partnership also sets the stage for expansion into Missouri, following a recent market access deal with St. Louis City SC, finalized on August 15, 2025. The alliance is designed to combine Delaware North’s long-standing expertise in gaming and hospitality with FanDuel’s leading sports betting technology and strong brand recognition, creating a synergistic approach to growth.

Jonathan Edson, FanDuel’s SVP of Business Development, expressed confidence in the partnership, stating, “Delaware North has been a respected name in gaming and hospitality for decades, and they are an ideal partner as we continue to operate in West Virginia.” This collaboration not only allows FanDuel to maintain its operation at Greenbrier Resort but also to extend its reach through the Mardi Gras Casino & Resort, further consolidating its position in the state.

Delaware North’s efforts in iGaming are also progressing, with its Betly platform re-launching online live dealer and slot titles from Evolution on September 17. These new offerings are now live for West Virginia players, with additional launches expected later in the year. Lee Terfloth, Delaware North’s Chief Interactive iGaming Officer, shared his enthusiasm for the partnership, saying, “We love working with FanDuel and are very proud to be partnered together in West Virginia. This partnership represents the best of what Delaware North strives for, bringing trusted, innovative experiences to our customers – and FanDuel is an incredible ally in that mission.”

In recent months, FanDuel has continued to innovate within the fantasy sports arena as well. On August 28, the company introduced FanDuel Picks, a peer-to-peer fantasy sports product available across 17 states. This new feature allows users to select between three and six players, wager on “more” or “less” for projected statistics, and set their wager amount, offering fans a fresh and engaging way to enjoy fantasy sports.
