In response to Evolution AB’s announcement that it had sought to add Playtech to its case in New Jersey, Playtech issued a statement on 9 April. The company noted that it had anticipated such a move since Evolution’s public statement on 21 October 2025. Playtech firmly rejected the allegations, describing them as “baseless and without merit,” and reaffirmed its support for the report that underpins the dispute, as well as the findings contained therein.

The core of the dispute revolves around a report commissioned by Playtech, which Evolution has challenged. Playtech reiterated its stance, asserting it remains confident in both the decision to commission the report and the validity of its conclusions. According to Playtech, the ongoing dispute involves claims regarding Evolution’s conduct across various markets. Playtech contends that Evolution has sought to avoid scrutiny rather than address questions related to providing services to operators in illegal and sanctioned markets, as well as supporting unlicensed operators in regulated environments.

Playtech expressed its willingness to undergo examination by courts and regulators concerning the report and its findings. The company also emphasized its desire to participate in the discovery phase, the pre-trial process in U.S. litigation where parties gather evidence and question witnesses. Playtech noted that this process would enable it to question Evolution’s employees, executives, and officers directly in court. The company further stated that it possesses evidence, including what it describes as recent additional evidence, which supports its case in the ongoing proceedings. Playtech Evolution’s Accusations
