This significant turnover highlights the alarming scale of the issue. In August 2024 alone, it was reported that Bolsa FamÃlia beneficiaries transferred around BR3 billion to online betting platforms, impacting approximately 5 million individuals, as noted by Brazil’s Central Bank.
