New Jersey’s Gaming Revenue Soars 25.2% While Casino and Sports Betting Dip in April

The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (NJDGE) announced a 5% year-over-year increase in total gaming revenue for April 2025, reaching $536.6 million. This growth was driven primarily by iGaming, the only sector to report a year-over-year increase.

iGaming revenue grew by 25.2%, totaling $235.2 million. FanDuel led iGaming operators with $52.9 million in revenue, up 35.3% from the previous year, followed by DraftKings with $46.9 million, a 19.5% increase. BetMGM and Borgata reported $29.6 million and $20.8 million, respectively.

Casino win across New Jersey’s nine reporting properties fell by 2.7% to $211 million, with the year-to-date total down 2% at $855.4 million. Slot machine win rose 2.1% to $162.2 million, but table game win declined 16% to $48.8 million. Borgata led casino win with $58.6 million, up 0.3%, while Hard Rock Atlantic City reported $41.5 million, a 1% increase. Bally’s, Golden Nugget, and Tropicana saw declines of 21.7%, 13%, and 11%, with revenues of $10.3 million, $11.1 million, and $15.7 million, respectively.

Sports wagering revenue dropped 14.8% to $90.5 million. Online sports wagering, totaling $87.9 million, decreased by 15.7%, while retail sports wagering increased 34.1% to $2.6 million. FanDuel topped online sports wagering with $31.8 million, down 16%, while DraftKings reported $22.4 million, up 18.3%.

On April 28, Playtech and Hard Rock Digital introduced New Jersey’s first dedicated trivia experience via the Hard Rock Bet platform, building on their 2024 partnership.
