Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation Picks Intralot Canada for Its New Tech Solutions

Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) has officially appointed Intralot Canada as its new provider of lottery technology solutions. The transition aims to modernize the province’s lottery infrastructure, with full implementation targeted for 2029.

Intralot Canada, the Canadian branch of Bally’s Intralot Group, will supply the updated platform that will overhaul OLG’s core lottery systems. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to enhance operational efficiency and customer engagement. OLG anticipates that the new system will enable faster product launches and introduce innovative ways for players in Ontario to participate in lottery games. The upgrade is expected to significantly improve the agility and responsiveness of the lottery’s technological backbone.

The agreement encompasses the central systems that underpin Ontario’s lottery operations, managing game infrastructure, transaction processing, and both retail and digital lottery activities. Modernizing these legacy systems is a key step toward aligning OLG’s technology with the demands of today’s gaming market. The corporation emphasized that this upgrade will facilitate quicker responses to customer preferences and market trends, positioning OLG for future growth and innovation.
The rollout is projected to be completed by 2029, representing a comprehensive, multi-year transition for a large-scale public lottery enterprise. Once operational, the upgraded platform is expected to streamline the launch of new products and support the development of future, customer-centric lottery formats.

Robeson Reeves, CEO of Bally’s Intralot Group, commented:

Our platforms are built to handle the complexity, scale and security demands of modern lottery operations, backed by decades of hands-on experience running mission-critical lottery systems across global markets. As the industry continues to evolve, we are committed to giving OLG the tools, data intelligence and technical foundation it needs to lead. We are proud to support OLG’s next chapter as it continues to deliver value across Ontario.”
