Brazil’s SPA-MF Teams Up with IC360 to Enhance Betting Integrity

The Brazilian Ministry of Finance’s Secretariat of Prizes and Bets (SPA-MF) has formed a new collaboration with Integrity Compliance 360 (IC360) in an effort to detect suspicious betting activities within the country’s recently regulated sports betting and iGaming sectors.

This partnership is set to last five years, during which the SPA has planned four additional similar agreements aimed at bolstering betting integrity by October 2024, in anticipation of the new markets’ launch in the coming year. The focus of this initiative will be on preventing match-fixing issues that could occur in sports betting.

IC360 will play a pivotal role in observing any suspicious betting behaviors, with the aim of identifying and addressing attempts to manipulate betting outcomes. The findings will be directly reported to the SPA-MF.

Regis Dudena, the SPA-MF Secretary, remarked on the collaboration, stating, “Integrity organizations like IC360 are essential to our efforts in detecting match-fixing and facilitating a structured information exchange. This agreement will enhance the monitoring and inspection efforts of SPA and its partner integrity agencies, fostering improved security and transparency in the industry.”

Scott Sadin, COO of IC360, added, “Our goal is to create a culture of accountability and establish a detection and early warning system for stakeholders, ensuring that integrity remains a priority for the Brazilian community.”

This new deal for IC360 follows another Integrity Monitoring agreement it announced last week with the PGA of America.
