Michigan Reports $268.5 Million in Gaming and Sports Betting for February
In February, Michigan’s commercial and tribal operators reported a combined total of $268.5 million in igaming and online sports betting gross receipts. This figure represents an 18.9 percent decline from January’s total of $331.2 million, as noted by the Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB). When examining the combined adjusted gross receipts (AGR), the total was $236.3 million, with $209.1 million coming from igaming and $27.2 million from online sports betting. Compared to January, igaming AGR saw a decrease of 10.3 percent, while sports betting AGR dropped significantly by 50.2 percent. However, when looking at year-over-year performance, igaming AGR increased by 23.6 percent, and sports betting AGR rose by $14.3 million.

The online sports betting handle for February totaled $379.8 million, a decline of 31.6 percent from January. In terms of contributions to the state’s revenue, operators reported submitting $43.8 million in taxes and payments to the State of Michigan. Additionally, the three Detroit casinos collectively paid $12.1 million in wagering taxes and municipal services fees to the City of Detroit, while tribal operators contributed $4.7 million in payments to governing bodies.
As of February 2025, there are 15 authorized commercial and tribal operators in Michigan. Currently, 12 of these operators offer online sports betting, and all 15 provide igaming services. Michigan Gaming
