Evolution Opens Fourth Atlantic City Studio as Ice Fishing Debuts in the US.
Evolution has expanded its live casino operations in Atlantic City, New Jersey, with the opening of its fourth studio. The development coincides with the US debut of its Ice Fishing live game, which launched across New Jersey, Michigan and Delaware on November 2.
The company confirmed the studio opening in its November 2 announcement. The new facility is linked to the New Jersey launch. However, Evolution has not revealed its capacity, workforce size or total investment.
Ice Fishing Records More Than 26 Million Players Worldwide
First introduced globally in 2025, Ice Fishing is a live game show featuring a virtual wheel with 53 segments and three fishing-themed bonus games.
According to Evolution, the game recorded the following figures between its global launch and November 2, 2026:
- More than 26 million players worldwide.
- Over 469 million fish caught during gameplay.
These figures represent the game’s global performance and do not reflect its results in the newly entered US markets. Evolution has not released separate player statistics for New Jersey, Michigan or Delaware. It has also not named the US casino operators offering the game.
Grand Rapids Studio Supports Michigan Launch
In Michigan, Ice Fishing is streamed from Evolution’s Grand Rapids facility, which opened earlier in 2026. The studio became the company’s seventh live casino facility in the US and its second in Michigan, following the opening of its first Michigan location in 2021.
Evolution had already included Ice Fishing in its plans for the Grand Rapids studio. In a May 14 press release, the company identified the game, alongside XXXtreme Lightning Roulette, among the titles expected to launch later in the year.

The November rollout marks the arrival of Ice Fishing at the facility, several months after the initial announcement.
Live casino studios play an important role in delivering online gaming experiences. They house dealers, cameras, production crews and streaming equipment that allow players to participate in real-time games.
Regulatory approval is also essential. In July 2021, the Michigan Gaming Control Board authorised Evolution to provide live dealer games following an onsite inspection of its Southfield studio.
Fourth Atlantic City Studio Also Serves Delaware
Evolution had previously indicated that its new Atlantic City facility would support operations in Delaware.
During the company’s October 23 earnings call, CEO Martin Carlesund confirmed that the fourth New Jersey studio would also serve the Delaware market. At the time, the facility was expected to open during the fourth quarter of 2026.
The studio has now opened alongside Ice Fishing’s three-state US debut. However, Evolution has not clarified which facility is responsible for streaming the game to Delaware players.
