SBC Reveals Strategic Partnership with ANJL for SBC Summit Rio

SBC has officially announced a strategic partnership with the National Association of Games and Lotteries (ANJL) in preparation for SBC Summit Rio. This partnership marks a significant step in integrating one of Brazil’s most prominent industry organizations into the country’s premier betting and gaming event.

The collaboration was formalized ahead of the upcoming SBC Summit Rio, scheduled for March 3-5, 2026, at Riocentro in Rio de Janeiro. Anticipated to draw over 15,000 participants from Brazil and leading global markets in sports betting and gaming, the event aims to unite operators, suppliers, regulators, and investors in a comprehensive gathering.

In addition to SBC Summit Rio, the partnership will extend to other major SBC events targeting the Brazilian market, such as SBC Summit Americas and SBC Summit Lisbon.

Established in March 2023, ANJL represents companies operating legally across Brazil’s lotteries, sports betting, and gaming sectors. The association actively promotes the development of a transparent, ethical, and well-regulated industry, working closely with policymakers and government agencies to enhance regulation, prevent capital flight, and attract international investment. Its core focus areas include consumer protection, responsible advertising, and combating illegal gambling.

Plínio Lemos Jorge, President of ANJL, highlighted the organization’s ongoing efforts: “ANJL continues to pursue its mission of representing the gaming industry in key forums, always defending a market committed to transparency, legality and the well-being of bettors.

“For ANJL, the partnership with SBC reinforces the commitment of its member companies to a legal and professional market. The exchange of experience between companies and specialists who are global references enriches the search for innovative solutions, promoting important debates that ultimately drive the development of the sector in Brazil and worldwide.”

Through this alliance, ANJL will gain a platform to amplify its advocacy, educational initiatives, and engagement with the broader regulated ecosystem. The partnership also aligns with ANJL’s broader goals of promoting best practices, sharing information with authorities, and fostering professional growth through training and knowledge sharing.

For SBC, the alliance enhances relationships with Brazil’s leading industry organizations and solidifies SBC Summit Rio’s reputation as the premier event for senior decision-makers navigating the country’s regulated betting sector.

Lucía Mouriño, Vice President of Relationships for Latin America at SBC, remarked: “ANJL plays a central role in shaping Brazil’s regulated betting market, especially concerning compliance, consumer protection, and market integrity. Partnering with the association elevates the quality of dialogue at SBC Summit Rio and ensures the event addresses the priorities, challenges, and opportunities faced by the industry locally.”
