Trump Media and Crypto.com Cease Partnership on Prediction Market Projects.

Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG) and Crypto.com have mutually decided to cancel their previously announced agreement set for October 2025, which aimed to incorporate prediction markets into the Truth Social platform.

The planned integration would have enabled users of Truth Social to participate in trading event contracts related to political elections, interest rates, inflation, commodity prices, and major sporting events.
Instead of moving forward with the prediction markets integration, TMTG has shifted its strategy to serve as a marketing partner for Crypto.com’s event contracts.

“Our strategic focus is to drive revenue across Truth Social, continue to build our global media business, and close the merger with TAE,” said Kevin McGurn, interim CEO of TMTG. “This marketing agreement better aligns with our priorities and will put Crypto.com’s prediction market experiences in front of a highly engaged digital audience.”

Furthermore, Trump Media previously announced merger with TAE Technologies, a nuclear fusion company first disclosed in December and initially expected to finalize by mid-2026, is now projected to be completed in the fourth quarter of this year.
Following the completion of this transaction, the combined entity’s board of directors will consider potential strategic options for its legacy business units, which include Truth Social and other TMTG media assets.

On Monday, TMTG disclosed second-quarter 2025 financial results, reporting sales of $1.67 million, representing an 89 percent increase. However, the company also posted an operating loss of $163.50 million and a net loss of $238.11 million.
The net loss for the quarter includes a $116.68 million impairment on digital assets, investment losses of $71.76 million, and legal expenses totaling $25.6 million, primarily related to ongoing legacy litigation.
